# Furigator

> Furigator is an on-device Japanese reading assistant for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. It adds instant furigana, romaji, and contextual translations to any Japanese text — manga, menus, news, web pages — plus OCR for photos and a Safari extension for reading on the web. All processing happens locally on-device: no account, no server, no internet required after setup.

Built for Japanese language learners (JLPT N5–N1), students, expats living in Japan, and anyone reading native Japanese media who wants to keep their reading flow uninterrupted instead of stopping to look up each character.
